About Us

Owner Information: My name is Earle Pope and I served 14 years as a Field Artillery Officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard. A life long backpacker, shooter, and hunter I saw lots of places where the  military fails to use the best technology to address problems. Similarly the civilian market could learn from military experiences.

That's why I founded Chestnut Mountain Manufacturing, to help technologies and products cross over from one side to the other. Our company goal is to build all the products we wish we had. Our secondary goal is to bring manufacturing as much as possible to Southern Appalachia to support our community and to enable us to continue rapid product development and prototyping.
